Markian Tarasiuk's Favorite Movies
"When I was a kid, I was a massive fan of The Mummy movies with Brendan Fraser. It's the perfect movie to me in terms of comedy, action, and horror, it's the whole package. It is executed brilliantly. Now, is the heyday of Brendan Fraser, and we are coming into a new renaissance with him with The Whale, which is very different from The Mummy. That was what I loved as a child and I come back to it," he said.
"Also, the comedy Superbad was deeply influential on me," he said. "I also like Adam McKay's work as a director. I love his editing style, I am an editor too, and I love the way he cuts his movies."
Favorite series to Binge
Tarasiuk listed The Office as his favorite series to binge-watch. “The Office hands down every time, that's it," he said.
Favorite Motto to Live By
His favorite motto to live by is the following: “Treat others like you want to be treated.” "I want to be more empathetic to everyone that I meet in my life, and it brings more joy to me and everyone around me. If you can do that, go for it," he said.
Favorite Cheat Meal
On his favorite cheat meal, Tarasiuk responded, "Nachos, fully loaded... with cheese, chicken, beans, corn, and some green onions with some guacamole and sour cream."
How Markian Tarasiuk Unwinds
In an effort to unwind and relax, Tarasiuk enjoys "snowboarding, tennis, golf, and video games."
His Dream Acting Partners
Tarasiuk noted that he would love someday work with Brendan Fraser, who is tipped as the favorite to win the 2023 "Best Actor" Oscar for The Whale. "That would be unreal," he said. "It comes down to the legends such as Ed Harris, Christoph Waltz, and Harrison Ford, who reminds me of my dad. They can't do any word in anything they do."
