Benjamin Ayres has been in many movies, including Hallmark. You may have seen this talented actor in some of your favorite movies including Long Lost Christmas, You Me and the Christmas Tree, The Bad Seed Returns, Color My World and others.
Ayres shared six exciting things about him. You may also recognize him from the many roles he has in series including Saving Hope, JPOD, Suits and Burden of Truth.
Outside of his film work, he recently worked on a women's shelter initiative for Alexandria House with the support of fellow actors Andrew Walker, Tyler Hynes and Paul Campbell. Read on for more about him.
Favorite Movie
He revealed that his favorite film is Force Majeure, which was directed by Ruben Ostlund. “I really like uncomfortable movies that make you think,” he said. “It’s a very simple film about a family that goes skiing on a weekend, and as they are sitting out having lunch on the radio, there is an avalanche that comes towards the patio. Everybody gets up and runs, and the husband gets up and leaves the family and runs only to discover that it is actually a controlled avalanche and nobody was really in danger. His wife now sees him as the type of man who abandons his family in a moment of crisis, and that’s the jumping off point for the movie.”
Favorite Series to Binge-watch
His favorite series to binge-watch is The White Lotus, The Crown, and Succession. We loved both seasons of The White Lotus, and we enjoyed The Crown and Succession. Those are our top three series right now,” he said.
Dream Acting Partners
Ayres listed Joaquin Phoenix and Christian Bale as his dream acting partners. “I appreciate Joaquin and I think he is cool,” he said. “I would love to work and be in a room with Christian Bale too.”
Favorite Cheat Meal
Ayres’ favorite cheat meal is “pizza.” “I can eat pizza all the time,” he said. “We have a really nice pizza place at our place that makes pizza with sourdough bread, and the girls love it, it’s a family favorite.”
Favorite mottos to live by
On his favorite motto to live by, he responded, “Honestly, my mom told me to be kind to others, and expect kindness back.” “I really do my best to treat every person I meet with as much as empathy as possible, and I do my best to lead like that at all times. This is something that I think about daily.”
Benjamin Ayre's Favorite Hobby: Baking Bread
Benjamin shared that his favorite hobby is to “bake bread.” “I love baking bread and the process of it. I love waking up early and getting the bread ready, and when the house smells like bread. Then, my family wakes up and they have fresh bread. That is one of my favorite rituals.”
