Equity, the high-stakes Wall Street thriller starring Anna Gunn, will have a special screening at the Rutgers Theater in Piscataway on November 7th, at 7:30pm. Following the movie, there will be a panel discussion on the making of the movie as well as the females behind the movie. Presenting will be Candy Straight, Executive Producer, Suzanne Ordas Curry, Co-Producer/Media Consultant, and Bev Eisenbray, Co-Producer.

The movie follows the tale of Naomi Bishop, played by Anna Gunn (Breaking Bad, Sully) a female investment banker who takes a tech company, Cache, public. Mirroring the competitiveness of true Wall Street, Naomi finds she does not know who she can trust.

Equity hails itself as not just a female-driven Wall Street film, but also a female-driven movie overall. It is brainchild of  Alysia Reiner (Orange is the New Black) and Sarah Megan Thomas (Backwards Movie). It was written by Amy Fox and directed by Meera Menon. The majority of the producers are female, and many are investment bankers which lent their expertise to the production.
