Fashion and Charity Highlight Jersey City's Fashion Week

The catwalk at Liberty Science Center

The second annual Jersey City Fashion Week took place in various places in Jersey City, NJ in late September. Boasting local designers, merchants, fashion schools and sponsored by an array of prestigious and local businesses, it was a week to celebrate this up-and-coming, historic and yet struggling city. Credit is owed to the organizers, Desha Jackson, Program Manager for the DLJ Give to Life Community
Foundation and her team for putting on shows and events that ran without a hitch and left you with a feeling of pride.

Local and NYC celebrities including BLS DJ Jeff Foxx, Actor Marc John Jefferies, former state pageant winners, reality show personalities and others lent a helping hand. And if the excitement brought to the city and its participants was not enough, the show was for the benefit of the city. All money after expenses went to help neighborhoods in this city through the DLJ Give To Live Community Foundation.
