Prolific Actor John Cusack to Speak after Screening of His Iconic Movie "High Fidelity" at Bergen PAC in Englewood NJ - Rescheduled to 2/20/27

Editor's Note: I can Say Anything I want here but It's Serendipity to me that I'll Point Blank get to this event! High Fidelity is one of my all-time favorite movies, a perfect combination of great casting, acting, music, plot and dialogue.

The prolific and talented John Cusack is coming to New Jersey - a half hour from Manhattan as part of his tour. 

Bergen Performing Arts Center will present An Evening With John Cusack, featuring a special screening of the beloved film High Fidelity. This event that was originally schedule for Saturday, October 17 at 7 p.m. will not be held on February 20, 2027. Tickets will still be valid or you can request a refund.

New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT) is pleased to announce Hayla Ragland as this year’s recipient of the Nancy Mysel Preservation Scholarship, which furthers the organization’s support of women’s media legacy. Through a generous donation from the Mysel family, the awardee receives $5,000 to support their studies of film and visual art preservation.  The grant is named in honor of the late Nancy Mysel. For 13 years, Mysel worked at the UCLA Film & Television Archive, where she was one of its leading film preservationists.

Does the movie American Summer accurately and actually portray and American summer?

I do believe the movie was aptly named. As this was the story of an American summer; kids playing baseball, pool parties, biking around town, summer jobs, beach gatherings, first love - it truly did reflect what goes on in summer. As the movie was made in New Jersey and I'm a Jersey Girl  (also my kids played summer travel ball and my dad was in the army) I would say writer/director/producer Michael W. Gray captured the geographical area and the nostalgia. This very well could have been a summer around here many years ago, or even now (sans phones), or anywhere in America.
