On his favorite movies, he remarked, "I'm a big early 2000s/Judd Apatow comedy film buff. So, films like Wedding Crashers, Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and Step Brothers... Those are all my speed and typically what I'll put on if I watch something. My favorite movie of all time though is Miracle. I played hockey for 18 years and that film is a masterclass on how to shoot a sports movie."
Favorite Series to Binge
On his favorite series to binge, he said, "My favorite TV series are all over the place in terms of genre. I definitely have a wide variety of what I like to watch, so my top 3 are You, Breaking Bad, and Friends. I've easily watched through these three 5 to 20 times each."
Favorite Sports to Watch and to Play
Regarding his favorite sports to watch and to play, he said, "Favorite sport to watch is football. Favorite sport to play is hockey. There's nothing like the rush of being on the ice and feeling the cold air rip through your face as you're blazing down the ice. Everyone who knows me knows I am a huge Boston sports fan, so Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics... that's who I am rooting for."
The Best advice Eric Guilmette Has Every Been Given
On the best advice that he has ever been given, he shared, "If it doesn't matter in 5 years, don't spend more than 5 minutes being upset about it." I think this has saved me a lot of stress over the years and has been something I've really dialed down over the last 5 years especially.
Favorite Motto to Live by
Regarding his favorite motto to live by, he said, "Under promise, over deliver."
"My parents taught me this at a very young age and it has stuck with me. You never want to be the person that isn't true to their word and I think, especially in today's world, taking someone at their word is very difficult. But because of what they've taught me, and the work I've done on myself, I've become a person who does their absolute best to mean the words that I say, and that's one thing I highly value about myself," he said.
Best Thing about Being His Age
On the best thing about being his age, he said, "I like being 30. I've really begun to lean into the subtle art of not giving a damn. I think when I was younger, I would care too much about the little things and the opinions of others, and the older I've gotten, the more I've realized if I am happy, love what I do, and can find peace when I put my head on the pillow at night, than I am rich in life. It's also a nice age because I have range in my career to play younger and older."
Eric Guilmette's Favorite Music
Regarding his favorite music, he shared, "I listen to everything. I've been a huge country music fan for 20+ years, but I also love folk, hard rock, hip hop, EDM and everything in between. My favorite artists, in no particular order, are Kenny Chesney, John Mayer, Linkin Park, Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, Trevor Hall, and a bunch of artists from those genres."
If He Could Have A Superpower....
If he were to have any superpower, it would be the following: "I think being in multiple places at one time, while still being able to be fully present in both places would be the greatest superpower. As a full time actor, there are a lot of sacrifices you make for your career (which I love), so it'd be nice to give more time to things that I physically can't give time to when I am consistently working on my career... Of course, I am blessed to have that problem, but a busy and booked career does come at a price."
If Eric Guilmette was not an Actor....
On his alternate career choice, he said, "I studied mathematics and economics in university, and was on the path to work in finance... So, if I wasn't acting or modeling or writing poetry, I would've probably pursued that career more aggressively after graduating, but I'm so incredibly glad my path of life led me to where I am now. I wouldn't trade it for anything."
Hobbies to Unwind and Relax
On his favorite hobbies, he revealed, "Writing. This is the number one thing that calms me down and makes me feel more like myself. Also, music and sports. Just listening to and watching something I care about makes me forget about the stressors of my life and just be at peace with everything.
I also highly value just spending time with someone who I respect. I'm more of a quality over quantity person, so spending time with someone I can really get to know gives me a lot of healthy energy."
