Bergen County CASA, located at One Bergen County Plaza in Hackensack NJ, is a program under the umbrella of National CASA/GAL. CASA stands for Court-appointed Special Advocates. They are volunteers who are trained to advocate for abused and neglected children in foster care.
Advocates are always needed but Bergen County CASA is proud to announce that Advocates have supported 120 foster children this year. In addition, 24 new Advocates were trained to be one-on-one supporters of these children.
In addition to providing advocates for these needy children, Bergen CASA also supports other programs for children in foster care such as toy drives, holiday gifts and providing them with the little "extras" like camp fees and prom dresses that they may not have on their own.
Advocates and donations are always welcomed and appreciated. For more information visit: https://www.bergencasa.org/
