Brenda Lee is an inductee in the following three Halls of Fame including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Rockabilly Hall of Fame, and the Country Music Hall of Fame. She is affectionately known as "Little Miss Dynamite" and several of her most successful pop singles include "Sweet Nothin's," "I'm Sorry," "I Want to be Wanted," and "Losing You."
She is the recipient of two Grammy Hall of Fame Awards for "I'm Sorry" and "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" respectively.
Her signature song is "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," which she recorded in 1958, recently topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts in 2023, which made her the oldest artist to every top the charts (beating Cher's record with "Believe").

Regarding her dream duet choices, she said, “I would have loved to have sung with Judy Garland. I adored her. A lot of people that I would have liked to have worked with are gone; they are not here anymore such as Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Aretha Franklin, and Fats Domino.”

On her favorite sports to watch, she responded, “Lately, I have gotten into football. I am late but I’ve gotten into it. I was always such a basketball fan. When I went to high school, that’s all we had.”

“I would have been a doctor, I would have wanted to be in medicine,” she admitted as her alternate career choice.
The Best Thing about Being her Age
On the best thing about being her age, Lee shared, “Living to be this age. I’ve had a wonderful life and just to pick one thing would be a travesty. I think just God letting me be here is the best thing about being this age is a great thing.”

Regarding her definition of success, she said, “Success means being happy, grateful and satisfied with who you are. Also, family and friends.”
