Marcia Cross is an American actress who is best known for her portrayal of Bree van de Kamp in the hit TV series "Desperate Housewives." This role earned her three Golden Globe nominations, a Primetime Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series." She also played President Claire Haas in the ABC show "Quantico."

She got her start in the soap opera world playing characters in "The Edge of Night," "Another World" and "One Life to Live" prior to moving into primetime TV with a recurring role on "Knots Landing." She also played Kimberly Shaw on "Melrose Place."
Most recently, Cross starred in the Off-Broadway show "Pen Pals" as Mags opposite Catherine Curtin as Bernie. She shared 10 interesting and exciting things about herself.

Cross listed the historical drama “Reds” as her all-time favorite film. “Diane Keaton did some of the most beautifully acted scenes in my life,” she admitted.

Marcia Cross' favorite series to binge are “The Bureau” and “Pachinko.” “My husband and I love it when we find a great quality show,” she said.

“I am cheating all the time,” she said with a sweet laugh. “I love frozen yogurt, and I like my coffee; that’s my cheat meal every day.”

Her favorite sport to watch is football, while she enjoys walking and hiking.

Cross' favorite motto to live by is the Golden rule, which states “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

On her favorite hobbies (to unwind and relax), she said, “Watching a good series and reading plays.”
“I really do love to read,” Cross admitted. “I also love being outdoors in nature, as well as hanging out with my girls, and trying to keep up with them.”

Her superpower of choice would be empathy.
Stage of her life
Regarding the title of the current chapter of her life, Cross said, “It’s My Turn.”
“Now, I’m excited to go out and work again, because it’s who I am,” she said.
Alternate career choice
When asked about her alternate career choice, she responded, “I would love to be an orchestra conductor.”

On her favorite music, Marcia Cross shared, “I am all over the place. I love classical, country music, and all the music my daughters listen to.”
