On Saturday April 23, 2022 from 12:00-7:15pm EST, Elm Shakespeare Company’s nationally acclaimed online series Building a Brave New Theatre returns with a one-day webinar conference, the Next-Gen Theatre Industry Forum (NGTIF). Presented by the Youth of Elm Shakespeare (Y.E.S) Advisory Council, NGTIF will explore the development and implementation of physically, mentally, and emotionally healthier theatre education, creation, and performance practices.
Created by and for the next generation of theatre-makers, NGTIF will feature speakers such as Tony award-winner, nine-time Broadway actress, and acclaimed activist Tonya Pinkins; the Director of NYU’s Drama Therapy Program and Theatre & Health Lab Dr. Nisha Sajnani; and twenty-time Broadway & West End fight director & certified conflict resolution trainer David S. Leong. NGTIF will live stream its four one-hour-and-fifteen minute panels on Zoom and Facebook. ASL interpretation will be provided. FREE registration for each event is required.
