Additionally, Kathy Krassner, one of our incredible Advocates and supporters will be honored for having been appointed to/or assisted on - over 17 young babies and toddlers cases.

Bergen CASA is eternally grateful to its sponsors. Current sponsors already include: Kundert Volvo of Hasbrouck Heights, The Fidelis Group Inc, Columbia Bank, Bogota Savings Bank Charitable Foundation, Provident Bank, and Inserra Supermarkets. Sponsorships are still available, starting at $2500. Please contact Lauren Awe lauren@bergencasa.org with any questions.

Those unable to attend can still help abused and neglected children by donating to or bidding on our online silent auction. The auction will have many kinds of items and experiences, including jewelry, sports equipment, great themed baskets, electronics, trips and more.

Zonie LeSane, President of Bergen CASA states, "We are extremely proud to be holding this golf event to help abused and neglected children. I am very proud that we have advocated for every eligible child removed from their parents since the onset of the pandemic in 2020."

Executive Director Lucy Rosen adds, "In the past fiscal year, 94 Advocates donated over 5,490 hours of their time on behalf of 127 children and 96% of our recommendations to family court were accepted. We do great work and are grateful for any financial support. Even if you don't golf, please join us for dinner or bid online for our silent auction items!"

Since incorporating in July 2003 as an independent, non-profit organization, Bergen CASA has successfully fulfilled our mission of appointing 939 well-trained advocates for over 1,240 children removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. Bergen CASA is the only organizational resource in the Family Courts that advocates for the best interests of foster children.

While foster children’s case workers, foster parents, therapists, judges and lawyers change, their Advocate always stays the same. Studies show that this consistency helps build trust and ameliorate trauma. One example of our capability is that, historically, more than 96% of our Advocate’s recommendations have been accepted by Family Court Judges. Moreover, statistics show that children assigned a CASA spend less time in foster care than those without one; and judges have supported that observation.
