RHONJ Dina Manzo has another show on her IMDB profile, a soap. Dina appears in Tainted Dreams, a continuing drama now streaming on Amazon. RHONJ's Amber Marchese:
The Real Cancer Story Behind This Real Housewife - "I Looked Like a Turnip" -
How She Would Like to Save a Life with Her Story

Editor's Note: In this candid interview, RHONJ Amber Marchese opens up about her bout with breast cancer, detailing everything from when she first found it to the way her chemo made her feel to how her husband was there for her the whole time. Read about the doctor that saved her life, how she dealt with the pain, and get some words of wisdom.

Though her story is her own, Amber's story is typical in many respects of many women's struggle with breast cancer. Though there is still so much more needed to be discovered about this disease, her story mirrors the story of hundreds of thousands of other women, women who can proudly call themselves survivors.

Breast cancer is for real, Amber's breast cancer was for real. Though people may question why she brings it up on her show, it really brings true meaning to the title "Real Housewife". Amber will carry this badge of honor throughout her life,  her struggle was as real as it gets and hopefully other women who have been through what she has been through or have just received this life-changing news will see hope in it that all things shall pass and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I don't think that Amber ever thought, while sitting in a chemo chair, that five years later she would be on a TV show donating her locks of hair for other breast cancer patients. Her message, Dream Big. To read article click here: http://www.suzeebehindthescenes.com/2014/11/rhonjs-amber-marchese-real-cancer-story.html

Manzo'd With Children/RHONJ's Chris Manzo Delights the Kids with His New Book Oliver Brightside: It's a Great Book for Kids  By Suzanne Ordas Curry

I just can't stop raving about the independent bookstore in downtown Ridgewood, New Jersey called  Bookends. They get such fabulous authors and personalities there.
This time they had Chris Manzo from Manzo'd with Children and RHONJ. He was there signing copies of his new illustrated children's book entitled Oliver Brightside.
All patrons entering the store were asked to sign a waiver as BRAVO was there filming for the show that afternoon. All patrons were photographed as well after signing. For article and photos:

RHONJ Season 6 Kicks off with Local Party in NJ: Dina Manzo, Melissa & Joe Gorga, Teresa Giudice and Newcomer Amber Marchese Attend Viewing Party/Fundraiser for Project Ladybug and Deborah Hospital Foundation

What a better way to kick off Season 6 of the RHONJ than to view the debut episode with them?                                            by Suzanne Ordas Curry

Dina Manzo
Several of thee RHONJ from this new season, Dina Manzo, Teresa Giudice, Amber Marchese and Melissa Gorga, attended a a  Viewing Party at Pure Parsipiany in Parsippany, NJ. The party was a chance to meet the ladies as well as some of  the men of the RHONJ. The party was billed as a fundraiser, with proceeds going to to benefit two wonderful charities, Dina Manzo's Project Ladybug (which helps children with cancer and other diseases) and the Deborah Heart and Lunch Foundation, a rather weld-know charity among Jerseyans.

It was a hot night, and party-goers had to wait just a little while outside to get in. But it was way cool in the lounge, because that's where the HOUSEWIVES were. There was ample seating, a vibrant atmosphere and lots of TV's. As predicted there was not one FIFA game or wrap-up on anyone of them (even though it was the day of he championship). BRAVO was on all of them.  Andy would have been proud. Now that's my kind of sports lounge..

There were hor douvres being passed; lots of sushi, something in a cone-shaped pastry and edaname. There was a cupcake tower which surprisingly did not all get eaten until the very end. Each guest received a ticket for a glass of Teresa Giudice's Fabbelini, mine was peachy and sparkling and quite refreshing.

The Manzo brothers have opened a new restaurant at the Meadowlands Racetrack in NJ on the heels of their announcement of a new reality show for the Manzo family. Will we see this restaurant in Manzo'd With Children?

Host Chris Manzo
The old Giants Stadium, now called Metlife Stadium, got a recent multi-million dollar facelift and so did the Meadowlands Racetrack with its new building. Both were due for an update. I remember when the whole “sports complex” as it was known as was built. The whole area was just one big swamp, and it smelled when one drove by. It was the back road for us locals headed into NYC, so it was a well-traveled area.

The entire area has been built up since then, with several hotels and a few restaurants in the surrounding area, but it is still rather open and the reeds and grasses of the marshes still can be seen swaying in the breeze.

In the new building at the racetrack now is a new eatery, the Victory Sports Bar and Grill. Coming from a family of restauranteurs (they own the Brownstone in Paterson), it is no surprise that it is another venture of the Manzo family. After opening up little Town in Hoboken, The Victory Sports Bar and Grill is the second dining establishment for the Manzo brothers, Chris and Albie.

Posh Fashion Show 2014 Hosted by RHONJ Kathy Wakile and Family, New Housewives Make an Appearance

PoshBoutiqueNJ  held its Annual Fashion Show at the Terrace in Paramus, NJ. Kathy, Rich and Victoria Wakile hosted this event with sister Rosie adding her flair. New RHONJ the Napolitano sisters came to help celebrate the fashion - and the quick recovery of Victoria after her recent surgery. It was a fun night... Jersey style.

The Annual Posh Fashion Show, this year held at the new Terrace in Paramus, was a little bit different than your ordinary Fashion Show.

The best part about the night was seeing Victoria Wakile looking so absolutely beautiful and well after her surgery for benign astrocytoma, a type of brain tumor that  had plagued her as a young child and unfortunately returned. You could here it in mom’s voice, Kathy said: "We are all so blessed.... because God brought her back to us." She also thanked the crowd for coming there to celebrate her daughter's quick recover. Listen to what she said here, in a video of the beginning of the Posh Fashion Show:

Melissa Gorga Headlines 201 Fashion Show:
Spoil Me Pink is Charity Sponsor
Thanks for stopping for a pose Melissa Gorga!
I had not been to the Meadowlands Racetrack in years, actually I can’t even remember the last time that I went. However, now there seems to be a new reason to get to the Racetrack and that is to hang out at Victory Sports Bar and Grill, the new restaurant owned by Albie and Chris Manzo.

I had the opportunity to get to this new eatery and club because that’s where our local upscale magazine, 201, had it’s Style and Beauty Week Launch Party headlined by RHONJ Melissa Gorga. To see the rest of this article click here:   http://www.suzeebehindthescenes.com/2014/04/rhonj-melissa-gorga-headlines-201.html

Interview with Teresa Guidice: Loving the Jersey Shore

By Suzee
There are some things that bind us to each other, that create our common culture. Given that we are one big nation, yet a composite of many states, our common culture varies from one part of the country to another. In New Jersey, and I believe some neighboring states, one thing that binds us together is the place where most of us have some of the fondest memories of our lives, the enduring Jersey Shore.

Though I am not a fan of the reality show Jersey Shore, it is unfortunate to say that some of the culture portrayed in that show is real. I am not referencing the behavior of the participants so much as the activities; walking the boardwalk, hanging out on the crowded beach under a colorful umbrella, playing the games of chance, eating a chili dog or a Kohr's cone. Though the show did not give a good name to the shore what it did do is  bring attention to it. A few years ago while Snookie and the Sitch were at their peak, I remember listening to a radio show  in which a caller from the Midwest said how she cancelled her vacation to Bermuda to go to the Jersey Shore because she wanted to see what it was all about. If she only visited Seaside my guess is that Bermuda made the top of her list the next year. But each shore is unique, you've got it visit each one to see what fits you best.

Recently I had the opportunity to meet one of the most famous "Jersey Girls", Teresa Giudice of the Real Housewives of NJ She was doing a book signing at my neighbor Gina's place of business.  I had helped Gina out with the publicity and was looking forward to getting some one-on-one time with Teresa  after the line died down to see if she had the same memories that this Jersey girl does.

Teresa with Ava and her sister
Gina Avino is a very talented designer with a store and interior design business, called Gina Avino's Artistic Designs. Her store in on Main Street in an upscale northern Jersey suburb, Ramsey. Gina knew Teresa because she had done some window treatments and other decorating for her. Both being Italian, I think Gina was able to achieve that Northern Jersey Italian designer look that is so prevalent here in North Jersey. Gina's store is filled with beautiful objects and for Teresa's book signing, she filled it with food, drinks and people too. Not only were Gina's friends and family there for the event  but in the true Italian spirit of family Teresa brought her friends and family as well. Teresa's  mom took a seat in the back of the store and chatted with anyone that wanted to chat with her and posed for pictures with them all through the night. Gina's 85 year-old mom worked the register with the speed of someone half her age. Gina's husband poured the Fabellini sparkling wine, which was quite good.

Teresa, ladies from RHONJ and Gina Avino
I had already  gotten my own copy of Fabulicious! On The Grill when I saw her at a local mall, so I got this book signed for my niece, Holly. Teresa sat at a table in the middle of the store with a gold sequined cloth on it, it looked great against the summery pink and peach dress Teresa was wearing. At the end of the event, though there were a few people lingering to speak to her and another women having a conversation literally over my head with her as I crouched down to make eye level (I did say I was from Jersey so this is normal to me), Teresa was happy to answer my questions although I could tell she was tired. All her makeup and hair was still perfect (which was a comment over heard all through the night) but it had been a long night. The store was not that big, it was a summer night and the rooms were packed so it got quite hot in there. On top of that it was North Jersey and more of a party than a book signing so Teresa was gracious enough to have a conversation with just about everyone.

My first question was, "What is your favorite beach?". She answered, "Long Beach Island." This was not a surprise to me as some of the scenes  from last year's RHONJ were shot there. "I have a house in LBI."  To continue reading click here:

RHONJ Stars Aligned for Dina Manzo's Project Ladybug Goddess Night Out
A Starry Night in NJ                                                                                        By Suzee

I had not been to one of Dina Manzo’s Project Ladybugs fundraisers yet, but there were five of them before this year’s. I have a feeling they got better with age as this year’s fundraiser was fantastic.

Held at the luxurious Venetian in Garfield (which used to be the old Cameo), the graceful European architecture and sweepingly grand high ceilings sets the stage for a truly mystical and magical Goddess Night Out.

It was billed that Dina was the host and the Teresa Giudice would also be there, as she was listed as a part of the organization. It was also publicized that Kathy Wakile would be there. I had not seen any mention that  Melissa Gorga was also going to be there so it was a nice surprise to see her there as well. Four housewives in one place with no fighting going on. :-)
Dina was dressed in her goddess best, an electric blue gown with a jeweled wreath in her hair, which was full of long curls. Theresa was stunning as usual. I don't think I've ever gotten a bad picture of her. She wore a silver, shimmery, figure-fitting gown which was like flowing tinsel and also wore a wreath on her head with her hair down for the event. Kathy Wakile went the traditional route of the goddess with a white, toga-like gown on with a simple belt. Melissa Gorga gave life to a perfect little black dress.
