NY- John Sterling, legendary announcer for the New York Yankees and former Edgewater Avalon Apartments resident, will be holding a fundraiser on Thursday, February 26th at D & D's Bar and Restaurant, 191 S. Main Street in New City, New York in order to help his neighbors devastated by the tragic loss of their homes and just about everything they own.

There are so many fires in the news these days, I can't imagine losing all of your possessions, family photo albums, treasured gifts... fortunately in the case of the Avalon fire all lives were spared.

The event runs from 6:30 to 8:30 and is said to feature  former Yankees Bucky Dent and Roy White, former Giant Joe Morris and more. John's other voice in the booth, Suzyn Waldman, will also appear. There will be food "light food" and an open bar for $50 a person.
